The New Dimension Tool in Illustrator

In this video you’ll learn:

• The basics of plotting dimensions

• How the special Dimensions layer works

• Understanding the Dimension Tool Options dialog

• How to work with the Properties panel

I'll explain how these options create the settings for the next dimension you make, and that there isn't a document-wide settings panel. If you switch to another document, you'll need to adjust the tool options settings, or the default from the last document will persist. Once you understand how it works, you’ll be able to work more efficiently with this tool.
